Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for the Databricks Center of Excellence aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Define the COE's vision, mission, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Identify areas of opportunity and growth for Databricks within the organization.
• Establish governance processes, policies, and frameworks for Databricks.
• Define and enforce best practices, coding standards, and guidelines for Databricks usage.
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business units, data teams, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide guidance on leveraging Databricks effectively.
• Foster strong relationships with executive stakeholders, advocating for the value and benefits of Databricks.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and provide training to enable teams to fully utilize Databricks capabilities.
• Work with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to design and implement scalable and efficient Databricks solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance in data engineering, data governance, data integration, and analytics.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement by exploring and recommending innovative technologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Establish performance monitoring mechanisms to identify bottlenecks and optimize Databricks workloads.
• Analyze and interpret performance metrics to drive efficiency and ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure the availability, scalability, and reliability of Databricks platform

Eligibility

• Bachelor's/ Master's degree in computer science with 15+ years of exp in data and analytics.
• Extensive experience in working with Databricks, Apache Spark, and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, spark, SQL. Experience in designing and implementing data engineering pipelines and data lakes.
• Solid understanding of machine learning and analytics concepts.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with data governance, data security, and regulatory compliance is a plus. As the Databricks -Director , you will play a crucial role in driving the organization's data-driven initiatives and support the growing Databricks business.
